biography
Summerhouse are an indie folk rock project from Sale, Manchester, led by close friends Tom Hobday and Gabe Jaizani.

The pair first crossed paths at school but only reconnected years later in 2023. What followed was an immediate creative connection that quickly grew into something more serious. Early writing sessions took place in Gabe's summerhouse — built by his late father — a space that would quietly shape both the band's name and identity.
What began as stripped-back acoustic songwriting soon evolved into a full-band sound rooted in emotional honesty, lyrical vulnerability, and cinematic ambition.
Fronted by lead singer Gabe Jaizani and songwriter Tom Hobday, the live band also features Karim on drums, Aiden on lead guitar, and Chris on bass.
Their music explores themes of love, escapism, and the quieter struggles people often keep to themselves. Blending intimate folk textures with expansive rock dynamics, their songs sit somewhere between the deeply personal and the universally felt.
Drawing influence from artists such as Noah Kahan, Catfish and the Bottlemen, and Radiohead, Summerhouse create music that is reflective, raw, and designed to connect both in solitude and in a crowded room.
Since their debut, the band have received airplay from BBC Introducing, played packed-out headline shows in Manchester, supported established touring artists, and appeared at festivals across the North West. Their work has also been featured and appraised by All FM and endorsed by The Red Vinyl Collective.
